Oyster Marine Purchases CE-Pro

Oyster Marine, builders of luxury yachts based in Ipswich in the South East of England, recently bought a license for CE Pro.

Until now, Oyster were clients of CEproof's RCD consultancy service. With Oyster building boats in New Zealand and UK and CEproof having offices in both coutries, the consultancy arrangement worked very well. Oyster, however, established an in-house design team 2 years ago and have proven their design capabilities with the success of the Oyster 46 & 72 as well as the new power boat, LD43.

Having overseen the CE marking of these 3 models, CEproof suggested to Oyster that, given the RCD awareness and engineering capabilties within the Oyster design team, it would be more efficient for them to use CE Pro themselves. After seeing a demonstration of the software, the chief Naval Architect, Alan Boswell, enthusiastically agreed and the team will be using CE Pro to ensure the compliance of the new Oyster 64.
