Azimut-Benetti Purchases CE-Pro

Renowned manufacturer of luxury motor yachts, Azimut-Benetti, has recently purchased a copy of CE-Pro.

The Italian group produces boats ranging from 39ft (12m) to 116ft (35m) to a total value exceeding €600 million (2004/5). Only those boats with a hull length up to 24m, such as the 68S model shown here, need to comply with RCD but this represents a sizeable and growing number of vessels for Azimut.

Having seen a demonstration of the software at the SeaTec show in Carrara, Italy in February 2006, the group made the decision to purchase CE-Pro to both harmonise CE marking documentation for their range and as a design tool - by providing quick compliance information to help design options.
