After installation, a new CE-Pro project is launched from the regular START menu. (It may also be launched from within Excel in the conventional way).
After the splash screen the user is always taken to the Title Page. An example of the title page, as printed on paper, was shown earlier on the BACKGROUND page. On the screen, however, are controls that invite the user to select from a range of options as well as cells in which the user must enter data. All cells that require data input are identified by their yellow colour. In the screen shown below, the user is selecting the desired Design Category. Note the helpful description about each category. Help is not hidden away in a separate help file but is provided when the user needs it.
Help Comments - "Hover Notes"
CE-Pro also makes good use of "comments" or as CE Proof likes to call them, "hover notes". These are helpful comments that jump-up as the mouse hovers over a cell. These are indicated by little red triangles in the top right hand corner of a cell. An example is shown below:
