Summary

The RCD has 31 Essential Safety Requirements. This presentation has only illustrated a small number of these. CE Pro has been many years it the making and, what is more, has been in use during the development period by CE Proof's own staff who have compiled more RCD Technical Files for a wider range of boats for certification with a wider range of Notified Bodies than any other organisation in the world.

The result is a software package that employs the tried and tested flexible interface of MS Excel yet has many hundreds of lines of hard code that make CE Pro the ultimate RCD compliance and reference tool. That said, there is nothing like having the full text of the original standards at one's finger tips when considering interpretations. CE Pro should not been seen as a replacement for the standards. For this reason, CE Pro is supplied with a CD-ROM containing current issues of all RCD harmonised standards.

System Requirements

CE Pro will only run on the Windows XP operating system.
As CE Pro exploits some of Excel's most recent features, the host computer must be running Excel 2003 or later. As this is relatively rare, CE Proof will package a copy of Excel 2003, free, with every purchase of CE Pro.
Min. 256MB RAM
Min. 30 MB of free hard disk space for the initial installation + average of 15MB for each project file required.

License Details

The purchase of a license is valid for 12 calendar months. During this time the user will be supplied with all updates free of charge. An annual licence fee will be charged to continue receiving updates of CE Pro.

The user may not use the program for providing services to another party. Users may only use the software for their craft. The licence does not allow users such as surveyors or consultants to use their copy to compile documentation for a client. Certification bodies may use the program to view data from their clients but may not use the software to compile new documentation.

All output from CE Pro prints the origin of the file.

The software will only run on a computer on which the supplied installation disc has been run. The version of the project file may not be later than the current licence. Thus if the licence is not renewed, you may still view old files but you would not be able to view newer files sent to you.

If you wish to exchange files with, for example, a certification body, both parties must have run an installation disk on their computers with a suitably dated licence.
