CE Proof was founded in October 1998 with the prime objective of providing comprehensive and informed services around the newly introduced Recreational Craft Directive. From its base, still in Hamble near Southampton, CE Proof rapidly established a market-leading position in the United Kingdom, helping builders, designers, importers and owners, meet their RCD obligations. The success of this service soon brought clients from other locations and sectors of industry to CE Proof.

CE Proof now has a chain of offices around the UK and globe and still provides the quality service that made the organisation a market leader back in 1988.

CE Proof's staff around the world are drawn from a number of different backgrounds affording the group a unique blend of knowledge and experience. As you would expect, CE Proof staff in includes Naval Architects, Marine & Electrical Engineers and Marine Surveyors. CE Proof also has, amongst its staff, 2 ex-managers from different RCD Notified Bodies (certifiers), who ensure CE Proof is connected to the heart of the industry.
